The Awe and Wonder Challenge
Our award-winning (NMT 2024 & Nursery World 2025) Awe & Wonder Challenge is a collection of simple, fun activities designed to help your family explore, discover and create special memories together throughout the summer.
At Kindred, creating awe and wonder is at the heart of everything we do. We know that some of the most magical childhood moments happen when they spend time in nature, trying something new, and seeing the world through curious eyes. This challenge encourages children and grown-ups alike to slow down, reconnect, and find joy in every day adventures.
How do I get Involved?
Take part in as many activities as you can over August and share your experiences with us! Every challenge is completely free, making it accessible for all families. Whether you're exploring a local park, spotting wildlife, or simply enjoying the outdoors together, each activity is an opportunity to create lasting memories and spark a sense of wonder.

Terms and Conditions: These are the rules that apply to your participation in our Awe and Wonder Summer Challenge Photo and Video Competition (August 2026). By submitting an entry, you agree to these rules. If you do not agree, please do not submit an entry. 1. The promoter of the competition is Kindred Education Ltd (“Kindred”, “we” or “us”). This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. 2. The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over. 3. To enter the competition, you must submit a photo or video using the online submission form on our website. Entries must be submitted by midnight on 31 August 2026. 4. Late, invalid, duplicate or incomplete entries will not be considered, and we accept no responsibility for entries that are lost or not successfully submitted. Entries containing inappropriate language or content will be removed as soon as reasonably possible and will not be considered. 5. There will be one winner. Entries will be judged on their creativity, originality and how well they capture the Awe and Wonder Summer Challenge theme. The winner will be selected by a judging panel. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome. 6. The prize is £200 of high-street vouchers of the winner’s choice, subject to availability. 7. The prize is non-transferable, and no cash alternative will be offered. 8. The winner will be notified by email on or around 7 September 2026. Once confirmed, the winner will also be announced on the public Kindred Nurseries social media pages. 9. If the winner does not respond within one month of the email notifying them that they have won, despite reasonable attempts to contact them, we reserve the right to select another winning entry.10. Any personal information and contact details supplied will be used only for the purposes of administering the competition and contacting entrants about the competition, unless you have separately agreed otherwise. Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice. 11. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel, alter or amend the competition or prize where this is necessary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, provided that doing so does not unfairly disadvantage entrants. 12. The competition is subject to applicable UK laws. 13. Entrants retain ownership and copyright of their photos and videos. By entering, you grant Kindred a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your entry for the administration and promotion of the 2026 Awe and Wonder Summer Challenge and future challenge years. 14. By submitting an entry, you confirm that you took the photo or video, that you have permission from everyone identifiable within it and, where a child is featured, that you are their parent or legal guardian or have obtained permission from their parent or legal guardian.
