Parent Reviews

  • "I have nothing but praise for the staff. My daughter joined the nursery in April last year. The manager was informative, supportive, and knowledgeable during the times I visited prior to my daughter's enrollment. My fears were quickly allayed upon starting through staff consideration, attention, and dedication to all children in their care. My daughter's smile upon seeing her key worker is the greatest compliment I can pay. Staff go above and beyond every day and are exemplary.
The management team at the nursery are incredible; they know all the children's names and are always happy to help. They are quick to respond to queries and are organised around sending updates.
It has been an absolute joy to watch my daughter happily develop and grow whilst at nursery, developing new skills and I am thankful for having chosen this nursery for her to attend. I am absolutely sure she will continue to progress and flourish through her time coming. All staff here are quite simply priceless in value to me as a parent."

  • "Myself and my wife want to thank and express recognition of the team at the White Post. Our children thrive at this location. The cooperation in working together for the success, of raising and educating our twins have not gone unnoticed. In both these respects, the staff here have excelled.
We appreciate all the staff for all of their efforts and excellent work!
They have made the transition into education a breeze. We are expecting more great things to come. Cannot recommend this establishment enough."

  • "My daughter started at Kindred White Post in September for a full day once a week. Every week she strides in confident, smile on her face, without a care in the world. This gives me so much confidence that she not only loves her time there but excellent care is being provided. Since starting in September, my daughter's language and social skills have come on leaps and bounds, every week I look forward to finding out what she has learned that day. Yet another reason why we love sending her to Kindred."

  • "Friendly nursery, regular updates, supportive. Both our children are flourishing. The children always come out happy and tell us about their adventures for the day! The staff are always willing to listen and help."

    Megan H

  • "My daughter gets the possible care from all the staff in Learning Lane. It is such a huge relief to see her happy to see staff in the morning. The updates on my daughter's progress have been so detailed and the relationship she has developed with staff in a short space of time is a testament to the care she receives."

Meet Our Kindred White Post Nursery Staff

Rachael Hovell
Senior Nursery Manager

Hello, I'm Rachael. I am Level 3 qualified and have working in childcare since 2005. I have working in every position from nursery practitioner up to Nursery Manager and this has given me a wide range of experience especially as I thrive on learning and challenging myself.

As a parent, I understand the importance of how difficult it can be to leave your child in the care of others, therefore my aim is to provide a very high standard of care and a happy and healthy place for our children to thrive and have the best start in life.

Julie Parry
Deputy Nursery Manager

Hello, my name is Julie. I am a Level 3 qualified, and I have been working at White Post since 2007. I have enjoyed many roles within the nursery, working my way up to my current role as Deputy Manager.

I am a mother of two children and understand the feelings of having to leave your world in the care of others. We endeavour to create the same warm, homely, and caring environment in which your children are used to. Providing a stimulating, happy healthy and enriched environment for your children to grow and thrive.

Kindred White Post Nursery and Pre-School FAQ

What are the designated parking and access arrangements for drop-off and pick-up?

We offer easy access with a large private car park exclusively for our families ensuring a smooth experience during drop-off and pick-up.

How does your nursery build strong relationships and engagement with parents?

We prioritise strong relationships with our families by hosting a variety of fun events throughout the year, including fun seasonal parties and events like our Christmas sing-alongs.

What are your staff-to-child ratios at the nursery?

We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and attention for every child, with safety as our top priority. Our staff-to-child ratios strictly adhere to and, in some cases, exceed UK regulations to ensure a secure, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Our regulated ratios are as follows:

Babies (Under 2 years): 1 staff member to every 3 children (1:3)

Toddlers (2-3 years): 1 staff member to every 5 children (1:5)

Preschoolers (3-4 years): 1 staff member to every 8 children (1:8)

By maintaining these ratios, we guarantee that each child receives the individual support, supervision, and guidance they need to thrive in a safe and monitored setting.

How do your settling in sessions work?

Our settling in process is designed to be highly supportive and flexible, with a minimum of three sessions:

Initial Meeting: A dedicated one-on-one meeting with your child's keyworker to collaboratively fill out the 'All About Me' book and share essential information.

Subsequent Drop-Offs: This is followed by a minimum of two more sessions where the parent drops off the child, allowing them to build independence.

Throughout the process, we prioritise excellent communication, providing lots of feedback and photos from your keyworker via our app.  If a child needs extra time to feel completely settled we are happy to provide more sessions.

What links do you have with local schools to prepare my child for the next step?

We have good links with local primary schools working in partnership to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. We work hard to ensure our children are ready for school and focus intently on developing their confidence, resilience and social skills to ensure they are equipped to thrive within the primary school environment.
