Meet Our Kindred White Post Nursery Staff
Rachael Hovell
Senior Nursery Manager
Hello, I'm Rachael. I am Level 3 qualified and have working in childcare since 2005. I have working in every position from nursery practitioner up to Nursery Manager and this has given me a wide range of experience especially as I thrive on learning and challenging myself.
As a parent, I understand the importance of how difficult it can be to leave your child in the care of others, therefore my aim is to provide a very high standard of care and a happy and healthy place for our children to thrive and have the best start in life.
Julie Parry
Deputy Nursery Manager
Hello, my name is Julie. I am a Level 3 qualified, and I have been working at White Post since 2007. I have enjoyed many roles within the nursery, working my way up to my current role as Deputy Manager.
I am a mother of two children and understand the feelings of having to leave your world in the care of others. We endeavour to create the same warm, homely, and caring environment in which your children are used to. Providing a stimulating, happy healthy and enriched environment for your children to grow and thrive.

Kindred White Post Nursery and Pre-School FAQ
What are the designated parking and access arrangements for drop-off and pick-up?
We offer easy access with a large private car park exclusively for our families ensuring a smooth experience during drop-off and pick-up.
How does your nursery build strong relationships and engagement with parents?
We prioritise strong relationships with our families by hosting a variety of fun events throughout the year, including fun seasonal parties and events like our Christmas sing-alongs.
What are your staff-to-child ratios at the nursery?
We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and attention for every child, with safety as our top priority. Our staff-to-child ratios strictly adhere to and, in some cases, exceed UK regulations to ensure a secure, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Our regulated ratios are as follows:
Babies (Under 2 years): 1 staff member to every 3 children (1:3)
Toddlers (2-3 years): 1 staff member to every 5 children (1:5)
Preschoolers (3-4 years): 1 staff member to every 8 children (1:8)
By maintaining these ratios, we guarantee that each child receives the individual support, supervision, and guidance they need to thrive in a safe and monitored setting.
How do your settling in sessions work?
Our settling in process is designed to be highly supportive and flexible, with a minimum of three sessions:
Initial Meeting: A dedicated one-on-one meeting with your child's keyworker to collaboratively fill out the 'All About Me' book and share essential information.
Subsequent Drop-Offs: This is followed by a minimum of two more sessions where the parent drops off the child, allowing them to build independence.
Throughout the process, we prioritise excellent communication, providing lots of feedback and photos from your keyworker via our app. If a child needs extra time to feel completely settled we are happy to provide more sessions.
What links do you have with local schools to prepare my child for the next step?
We have good links with local primary schools working in partnership to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. We work hard to ensure our children are ready for school and focus intently on developing their confidence, resilience and social skills to ensure they are equipped to thrive within the primary school environment.
