After our passion, what is the next most important thing you should know about us?
That’s easy: our incredible staff! Pure and simple. They are the heart of our family and what makes us unique. Our inspiring and passionate staff are the reason we hold the coveted ‘Top 20 Nursery Group 2018’ award and, year after year, are recognised in the prestigious NMT Nursery Awards.
Dedicated to being the best that a family could ask for, our nursery staff are constantly developing themselves through our training programme run by childcare and EYFS experts. It is not just our little ones who are the passionate lifelong learners here at Kindred!
Hello, my name is Gemma and I am the Nursery Manager here at Kindred Durrington.
I hold a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education and I started work at Durrington in September 2017 after returning from maternity leave with my little girl. My journey started as a Level 3 practitioner however, just before going on maternity leave with my son in 2019 I had the amazing opportunity to start my journey into a more senior role, becoming a Room Leader. I have progressed my career since working at Kindred Durrington, holding roles as Nursery SENCO and Deputy Manger before becoming Nursery Manager in January 2023.
Hi, I'm Alana and I joined Kindred Durrington from another Kindred setting taking a promotion as Deputy Manager.
Although I started at Durrington in January 2023 I have been part of the Kindred family for the last seven years, working my way up from practitioner to deputy manager.
I hold a degree in Early Years Teaching, which I completed in the summer of 2022, and I have a range of experience working with children from 0-5 years old.
