Parent Reviews

  • "Kindred Bournemouth is such a lovely environment for the children. My child has been in Curiosity Crescent for just over a year now and they have always been amazing with supporting her milestones and now as she gets older supporting her development with speech and language, social development and physical development. Every day we as parents get updates on their day-to-day being as well as developmental reviews every few weeks.
I highly recommend this nursery to friends and family."

    Leonie P

  • "My little boy loves going to nursery here and has made some lovely friendships with the other children and staff members. I feel that he is in safe hands and well cared for here. We have recently started potty training and I felt he was fully supported with this and he has done really well."

  • "The nursery is providing excellent care for our son. Staff members are very engaged and interested in children's development and in their welfare. A big plus is that food is cooked on-site and they meet even the most challenging allergy-related requirements. Very happy."

    Sonia B

  • "I am very happy with my child being at Kindred. They only started in January but have really come along in that short space of time. My child comes out happy when I pick her up so that’s the main thing for me."

    Chantelle A

  • "The staff give excellent feedback regarding our child’s day and the number of observations shared has increased significantly which is so important to my wife and I. On arrival, the number of activities that are prepared for the day is clearly apparent as well which is always positive to see. The staff are always approachable and appear to have a really positive relationship with our child who, through her actions, clearly trusts. It’s an absolute joy to hear our child at the end of the day state “I’ve had so much fun at nursery today”.

Sharon White
Nursery Manager

Hello, my name is Sharon. I started working at Kindred Bournemouth in October 2023. I hold an NVQ level 5 Childcare and Education. I have worked in childcare for 27 years, working my way from level 3 practitioner to Nursery Manager, whilst having 4 children of my own.

I am passionate in ensuring children can thrive and that I provide the best possible care and start for them in life. Working with parents and building strong partnerships together we can support our children to reach their full potential.

Hannah Whittaker
Deputy Nursery Manager

Hi, I'm Hannah and I joined Kindred Bournemouth in November 2023 and have worked in childcare since 2015. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Studies.

I enjoy having lots of fun and making up games and songs with our children. I especially enjoy getting messy with lots of creative and sensory fun activities. My main passions within childcare are centred around children's communication and language development and their social and emotional skills. These two are areas are the most critical for children's future success. Preparing children with the skills, confidence, and self-esteem to overcome and take on new challenges within day-to-day life.

Safety and Wellbeing

At Kindred Nurseries, the safety and well-being of our children, teams and families are our highest priorities. Safeguarding is woven into every aspect of our operations. We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where children, staff and families can thrive. Read more about our commitment to safety and wellbeing.

  • Continuous Training and Development: We are committed to ensuring that all staff have the knowledge and skills they need to maintain the highest safeguarding standards.
  • Supporting Wellness and Managing Stress: We prioritise the mental well-being of our team, knowing that happy and healthy staff provide the best care.
  • Strong Relationships with Ofsted and Local Authorities: We work collaboratively with regulatory bodies to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Whistleblowing Policy and Open Culture: We nurture a culture of openness, where every staff member feels safe and empowered to raise concerns.
  • Secure Premises: Security is critical to safeguarding, and we've modernised our systems across all sites.
