Meet Our Kindred Harlow Nursery Staff
Irene Antoniou
Nursery Manager
I am deeply passionate about the Early Years and my primary focus is ensuring that children are both happy and thrive in the environment that we provide for them. Interacting with children brings me happiness, laughter and a renewed sense of wonder, making my job an emotionally rewarding experience.
We are a child’s first educator after their parents, and we understand that their very first steps in learning will guide their future. It’s important we work closely with parents to nurture them so we can create a better world.

Kindred Harlow Nursery and Pre-School FAQs
How often do the children play outside?
Our children enjoy daily free flow access to our outdoor space, in all weather conditions.
Do you have links with any local family hubs, charities, or support groups?
We have close links with the Essex County Council family hub, including referring families with SEN children to "Sparkles". A scheme which provides a dedicated space where families can go for advice and support, including help with filling out forms like EHCPs.
What is the unique feel or ethos of your nursery team?
Our nursery offers a loving, nurturing, home from home environment within a smaller setting that allows for plenty of one-to-one attention. We also take pride in our diverse community, celebrating a wide variety of national backgrounds and languages spoken among our families and team.
How do you build relationships with parents?
We keep our families connected through family fun days, newsletters, and parents’ evenings. We also offer a lending library for families to enjoy books together at home.
How do your settling-in sessions work?
We offer three settling sessions during the week before your child is due to start. The first session lasts thirty minutes to go over the “All About Me” booklet. The second session lasts one hour, with parents asked to stay nearby within the leisure zone. The final session runs from nine until twelve to help your child get fully used to our routine.
