These extraordinary times are frightening, confusing and difficult to explain to young children. Many wonder why they can’t see family and friends and miss them terribly. Nosy Crow has launched a free online book, illustrated by Axel Scheffler and written in conjunction with leading medical experts, headteachers and child psychologists, to help parents answer those difficult questions.
In this 'sweet tooth' science experiment, we compared gummy bears left in water to those placed in salt water.
This skittles experiment is easy and provides lots of investigative opportunities. Try using different temperatures of water, white vinegar or even lemonade to discover what happens.
A simple activity that our Out of School Clubs love creating is puffy paint – it is a great one to try at home.
