Parent Reviews

  • "My little boy came to the nursery, before leaving for school he was always happy and got excited when we got to the door. The staff were always so welcoming and went above and beyond to help him learn and develop. He still talks about it now and even pops by to visit and say hello to everyone."

I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else.
All the staff are friendly and approachable.

  • "My child goes to preschool at Kindred Beeston and has always come home very happy. My child talks about his day and says how much fun he’s had doing different activities and outdoor play. The staff are always really friendly at drop off and when I am collecting my child. My child brings home any activities that have been done on a daily basis but most of all loves to bake. We are full-time working parents and struggle at times to do some baking at home very occasionally we do but it’s amazing knowing my child gets the opportunity to bake cakes, biscuits, gingerbread men etc. My child loves the staff working there as names have been mentioned when they come home."

  • "Our daughter has been at this nursery since September and I've already noticed her development - she's thriving in all areas! The staff here are fantastic and every single one knows every single child there, which is so reassuring as a mother. We're always greeted by warm smiles at drop off and pick up, no matter which staff member, and our daughter stretches her arms out every time as she's so happy to be going! I've genuinely felt there's such a personal feel at this nursery and would wholeheartedly recommend to everyone looking. The location is great too!"

  • "The nursery has always been a welcoming, happy place for my children. The staff have always worked hard in trying to support our choices and develop our children as individuals. My daughter has now moved on to school and is ready for that next stage, thanks to them."

Meet Our Kindred Beeston Nursery Staff

Nazia Hussain
Nursery Manager

Hello, I am Nazia the Nursery Manager at Beeston.

I have several years of experience in early years education, working with children across different age groups. Throughout my career, I've developed strong knowledge of child development, safeguarding, curriculum planning and supporting children's individual needs. I've also gained experience leading teams and working closely with families to ensure every child receives the best possible start.

I've always enjoyed working with children and seeing how much they learn and develop in their early years. Supporting their growth and helping create a safe, happy environment inspired me to progress into a leadership role where I could make a positive impact on children, families, and staff.

Kindred Beeston Nursery and Pre-School FAQs

How do you build relationships with parents?

Building strong partnerships with families is at the heart of everything we do at Kindred Beeston. We encourage parents and carers to be part of nursery life through a range of special events and celebrations throughout the year. From Mother's Day and Father's Day breakfasts to Easter activities, including meeting a real rabbit and creating Easter cards, we create memorable experiences for children and their families. We also host Christmas celebrations, parents' evenings, graduation ceremonies, meet-and-greet sessions and family buffet events, helping families connect with our team, celebrate achievements and feel part of our nursery community. Through these shared experiences and ongoing communication, we build positive, lasting relationships with every family.

What links do you have with local schools to prepare my child for the next step?

We work closely with local schools to help children feel confident and ready for their move on from nursery. Throughout their time with us, we focus on developing independence skills, such as dressing themselves and managing their own belongings. Children can explore and try on samples of local school uniforms, helping them become familiar with what to expect, and we encourage them to wear PE kits during activities such as tennis lessons to introduce some of the routines they may experience at school. As children prepare to leave nursery, local teachers visit to meet them and speak with key workers, enabling important information about each child's strengths, needs and friendships to be shared and supporting a smooth transition into their new school.

How do settling in sessions work?

We want every child to feel comfortable, secure and happy when starting nursery, so our settling-in process is designed to support both children and parents. Typically, this consists of two settling sessions. The first is a one-hour session where parents stay with their child and spend time with the team while completing an All About Me form, helping us learn about their child's interests, routines and individual needs. The second session is a two-hour visit where the child stays independently, giving them the opportunity to build relationships with our team and explore the nursery environment.

If a child needs a little extra time to settle, we can adapt the process and offer additional shorter sessions to ensure they feel confident and comfortable at their own pace.

What are the parking and access arrangements for drop-off and pick-up?

We aim to make drop-offs and pick-ups as easy and convenient as possible for families. There is space for two to three cars on the nursery driveway for quick drop-offs and collections. If these spaces are occupied, there is also a free car park just around the corner, offering up to one hour of free parking. This provides parents with a convenient alternative and plenty of time for a relaxed drop-off or pick-up.

What is the unique feel or ethos of your nursery team?

Kindred Beeston has a real home-from-home feel, with a close-knit team and a smaller setting where every child is truly known as an individual. Many of our team members have been with us for years, helping to create a welcoming, family atmosphere and strong relationships with both children and parents.

We're proud to support families from a wide range of backgrounds, with multilingual staff who can help bridge language barriers and make parents feel comfortable and included. Our caring, child-centred approach means we take the time to understand each child's needs, interests and personality. We also offer dedicated weekly one-to-one support for children with additional needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to flourish in an environment where they feel safe, valued and supported.
