What makes Toddlers Nursery School unique?
At Toddlers Nursery School, we’ve been caring for children in Groby for more than 30 years. We’re proud to have a team of longstanding staff providing consistent and familiar care that helps us to build strong relationships with our families.
Our setting features a large outdoor area with a wide variety of equipment for our little ones to explore. We even have our very own vegetable patch where our children enjoy planting and growing their own produce.
Daily adventures continue in our very own soft play room where our children can build their confidence and safely practice their coordination and motor skills in a specialised space.

How often do the children play outside?
Every room spends at least two hours outside every day. We usually head out once in the morning and again in the afternoon to get lots of fresh air.
Do you take the children out for trips into the local community?
Our children enjoy getting out into the local area regularly. We visit the local parks and the library next door for reading sessions. We also love taking trips to Groby Pool to feed the ducks.
What are the parking and access arrangements for drop off and pick up?
Finding a space for drop off or pick up is easy as we have a large car park with plenty of bays.
What links do you have with local schools to prepare my child for the next step?
We maintain strong relationships with local schools to help with the move to reception. Teachers often come here to visit the children in a place where they feel comfortable, and we host sessions to share important information. During our school prep week, children get a taste of school life by practicing with their PE kits and joining in on sports day.
How do you build relationships with parents?
Our newsfeed board keeps you up to date with everything happening in the nursery. We also love hosting events throughout the year, including: Stay and play sessions, Christmas parties and summer graduation.
How do settling in sessions work?
Most children have three settling sessions at least a week before they start. The first session is an hour long where you stay to meet the keyworker and fill in any paperwork. The next two are two hour sessions where you drop your child off to help them get used to being with us.
