What makes Kindred Hauxton unique?

At Kindred Hauxton, we believe in the power of outdoor learning. Our children benefit from free-flow access to the garden throughout the day, giving them the independence to choose where they want to learn and play. We even feature a dedicated outdoor classroom! We ensure that our activities outside perfectly mirror those inside, guaranteeing a consistent learning experience wherever your child wishes to explore.

Our commitment to nature-based learning is furthered by our interactive Forest School. These sessions offer our children guided learning fully immersed in the natural environment, allowing them to develop key skills, independence, and a lasting connection with nature.

We build strong relationships with our parents through transparent and regular communication. You'll stay connected to your child's journey via our parent newsletter sent through the Kindred Satchel App, weekly updates on our enrichment activities, and engaging family events throughout the year.

Parent Reviews

  • "The nursery has lovely staff who care so well for the children. They are always doing fun and exciting new things, which my child loves! I've been really impressed with the food, there is always such a good variety!"

  • "Our son loves nursery and happily goes in each day. They have regular focus weeks, at least once every 3 weeks, and this gives us specific feedback on how he is getting on. He has made friends and loves the nursery staff. We appreciate that there is plenty of outside space which is being constantly improved and adjusted for the children in the nursery based on their interests. He has such variety to his day and is always keen to tell us something he is proud of or enjoyed from his day."

  • "Couldn't be happier with the staff and vibe at kindred. My son loves going in to nursery everyday and I struggle to get him to want to leave most days. Staff are brilliant and very polite and considerate. Thanks to everyone that makes my son's day so easy and engaging. Awesome job."

Meet Our Kindred Hauxton Nursery Staff

Georgia White
Deputy Manager

Hello, I'm Georgia, the Deputy Nursery Manager at Kindred Hauxton.

I began my journey in childcare back in 2018 after transitioning from a career in Adult Care. My previous experience ignited my passion for helping children reach their full potential. and I'm thrilled to bring that enthusiasm to early years education.

I firmly believe in nurturing young children's mental wellbeing to give them the best start in life, which motivated me to achieve my Level 2 qualification in Children's and Young People's Mental Health. You will often see me participating in lively dance sessions or getting hands-on with messy play activities alongside the children.

Alongside being the deputy manager, I am also the setting's SENCO, ENCO and DSL.

Kindred Hauxton Nursery and Pre-School FAQs

What are the designated parking and access arrangements for drop-off and pick-up?

We offer easy access with a private car park for our families ensuring a smooth and safe experience during both drop-off and pick-up times.

How do your settling in sessions work?

We offer a structured process to ensure a gentle transition for your little one:

Session 1 (30 minutes): You will meet the keyworker and complete the 'All About Me' book, sharing important information about your child's routine and preferences.

Session 2 (1 hour): You will drop off your child allowing them to practice separation and start forming bonds independently.

Session 3 (Full Morning or Afternoon): Your child stays for an extended session to experience a substantial part of the nursery routine.

We are flexible; if your child isn't settled and requires more time, we can extend the sessions to ensure they are fully happy before their official start date.

What are your staff-to-child ratios at the nursery?

We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and attention for every child, with safety as our top priority. Our staff-to-child ratios strictly adhere to and, in some cases, exceed UK regulations to ensure a secure, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Our regulated ratios are as follows:

Babies (Under 2 years): 1 staff member to every 3 children (1:3)

Toddlers (2-3 years): 1 staff member to every 5 children (1:5)

Preschoolers (3-4 years): 1 staff member to every 8 children (1:8)

By maintaining these ratios, we guarantee that each child receives the individual support, supervision, and guidance they need to thrive in a safe and monitored setting.
