Parent Reviews

  • "I genuinely cannot fault the staff or setting and wouldn't hesitate recommending.
I was incredibly anxious putting my 9-month-old into nursery but the staff couldn't do more to ease my worries; sending regular updates (with plenty of detail), photos and answering any questions I had.
They have gone above and beyond to help my child reach milestones which were raised as a concern in a health check and they did this without hesitation. Not only do they continue to assist with further milestones, they evidence this too and are so enthusiastic when these are met.
Friendly, caring, happy, enthusiastic, empathetic are just a few words I would use to describe the staff and they are the reason I can go to work and focus on my job as opposed to worrying about my child.
The fact my child always goes into nursery with a smile on their face quite frankly says it all!"

  • "Kindred Rayleigh Nursery and Pre-school has been a godsend to me as a first-time mum. They have helped me navigate being a parent and providing advice when asked on how to deal with the terrible twos or any challenge.
My son has loved both the baby room and his current room, he almost runs in and has the best day every day. They play, explore, fun in the garden and it has helped his speech and also his interaction with other children. I always recommend them to anyone looking. My son is well-fed, he enjoys all of his meals and I'm sometimes jealous when I read what they get each week! It's just great on every level."

  • "We have had a very good experience with this nursery. For our daughter who has been with them for over a year now. Our daughter has shown amazing achievements and social skills. She loves going to the nursery and there has hardly been any fuss at drop off and she seems well settled when we get her back. The nursery staff also give us regular updates while she is at the nursery. The nursery as such is also a well-maintained place with a beautiful and large back garden."

Abby Buckley
Nursery Manager

Hello, I'm Abby and I have worked with children since 2009.

I qualified as a Level 3 when I was 17 having started as an apprentice. I progressed further in my career into a Room Leader role and was then honoured to step into management as the Deputy Manager where I thrive to achieve the best for all our families.

I love working alongside parents and carers and making them feel comfortable in leaving their most precious child with us. I absolutely love being a part of each child's journey and watching them grow and develop over their time spent with us. It never gets any easier saying goodbye when they start their new adventure to big school.

Kindred continuously offer training opportunities to support my progression to achieve being the best I can be. I am now a mummy myself, and my little girl joins me in the Kindred family.

Jodie Openshaw
Deputy Nursery Manager

Hi, I am Jodie and I have been working at Kindred Rayleigh for 7 years.

I am passionate about Early Years Education, and this was the inspiration for me achieving my BA (Hons) Early Years Education. I have completed lots of other courses to further myself and provide our children with the best early years' experience, some of which include Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Safer Recruitment, Makaton, and Forest School Leader.

I believe a child's early years are the initial embers that spark a lifelong passion for learning. It's my privilege to share this time with both the children and our team every day.

Deputy Nursery Manager
