Parent Reviews

  • "My son attended Kindred Bromley North for 3 years prior to starting school and absolutely thrived there. My daughter (age 3) has been attending the nursery for the past 2 and a half years and adores her days at the nursery. The staff are genuinely interested in the children and

their development and the care given is first class. The varied activities offered daily, the nutritional food served, the personalised approach to each child and also the large outdoor space to play are all key factors in the happiness my children both have and do receive from Kindred Bromley North. Would absolutely recommend this nursery."

  • "I would highly recommend Bromley North Les Enfants Kindred Nurseries! My daughter and son both went here. Lovely staff! Willing to always help when needed. Rooms are always set up with activities. Clean and tidy rooms. Children always have a story about their day when they get home. The garden is a

great outside space, my son loved it! Both children had the same amazing keyworker. Office staff and manager are amazing too. My son was there from 6 months until graduation and my daughter was there from toddlers to graduation and they loved it. No faults at all. We are sad to be leaving, everyone will be greatly missed!"

  • "I'm very happy to have chosen Kindred for the care of our child. They are quite communicative, attentive to the children's needs and very kind. It's one of the most affordable options I found in the Bromley area. They have a spacious park, well-maintained facilities and provide healthy snacks for the

children. They are also helpful with any information you may need. Personally, they assisted us with the application process for public funding hours and, most importantly, our child comes home happy every day with lovely stories from their day. We will miss you a lot, Kindred team."

  • Great nursery run by lovely people who really care and do their best, day in and day out. The team has helped us with our two children now and you can see visible improvements on a daily basis. The transition to reception was very smooth, setting the child up for success!

  • Brilliant nursery with helpful opening hours for working parents.
The nursery has been wonderful for my child. Though my child struggled initially with the new room, the staff really helped to welcome her and encourage her. Now she walks in there very happy and that in turn makes me happy.
The staff are very experienced and the office is very responsive.
I am amazed by the activities that they manage to think of to keep the children busy!

Kindred Bromley North Nursery and Pre-School FAQs

How often do children get to play outside at the nursery?

We prioritize outdoor play as a core part of a child's day and ensure children spend a significant amount of time learning and exploring outside. Our routine includes a minimum of an hour of outdoor play in both the morning and the afternoon for every room. Children on the ground floor also have the benefit of free-flow access to our outdoor areas, allowing them to move between indoor and outdoor activities as they wish. This approach promotes a lot of outdoor learning and encourages children to connect with nature, be physically active, and develop their curiosity.

What are the designated parking and access arrangements for drop-off and pick-up?

We offer convenient and ample parking to make drop-off and pick-up as stress-free as possible. Our facility features two on-site car parks, ensuring there is plenty of space for every family. Additionally, there is free on-street parking available on the road directly across from the nursery from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. This variety of parking options is designed to provide smooth and safe access for everyone.

What is the unique ethos and philosophy of your nursery team?

Our nursery is built on a strong, family-oriented ethos, giving us a well-known reputation within the local community. We pride ourselves on creating a "home from home" environment that is intentionally nurturing and personal, rather than commercial.

We extend this philosophy to our outdoor spaces, which are designed to feel like a large back garden, encouraging natural play and exploration. This welcoming atmosphere is supported by our team of long-standing staff, many of whom are well-known in the community and have built lasting relationships with families. We are a big family and believe in a transparent approach to learning. That's why we've developed our own user-friendly curriculum, making it easy for both parents and staff to understand and support each child's development.

What links do you have with local schools to prepare my child for their next step?

Our preparation for school is led by a qualified primary school teacher who has extensive experience working within the local school system. This valuable insight allows us to:

Host Transition Sessions: We invite teachers from local schools to our nursery to meet and interact with the children in a familiar setting.

Attend Transition Events: Our team attends all relevant transition events at the primary schools to ensure a seamless handover of information.

Specialized School Readiness Program: Our dedicated teacher leads a comprehensive school readiness program. Because she oversees both preschools, all children get to benefit from her expert guidance and knowledge, preparing them both academically and socially for their next step.

What are your staff-to-child ratios at the nursery?

We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and attention for every child, with safety as our top priority. Our staff-to-child ratios strictly adhere to and, in some cases, exceed UK regulations to ensure a secure, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Our regulated ratios are as follows:

Babies (Under 2 years): 1 staff member to every 3 children (1:3)

Toddlers (2-3 years): 1 staff member to every 5 children (1:5)

Preschoolers (3-4 years): 1 staff member to every 8 children (1:8)

By maintaining these ratios, we guarantee that each child receives the individual support, supervision, and guidance they need to thrive in a safe and monitored setting.

How do settling in sessions work?

We take a highly flexible and personalized approach to settling in, focusing on the unique needs of each child and family. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and confident transition into the nursery.

Under 2s: We recommend a settling-in period of around two weeks, allowing for a flexible series of sessions tailored to your child's pace.

Older Children: A minimum of one week is typically scheduled, though we are always prepared to adjust this based on individual needs.

For the first session, we ask parents or carers to stay with their child for an hour. This time is used to complete our 'All About Me' book, which helps us gather important information about your child. Subsequent sessions are then booked based on how this initial visit goes, ensuring your child is settling well before they begin their full sessions. This extended and tailored approach helps children settle quickly and happily, building strong bonds with our team from day one.
