Our outdoor space is a world of exploration and adventure, featuring an enchanting fairy garden, climbing frames, and gardening patch where we grow our own vegetables. Our "Veg to Plate" initiative turns learning about healthy eating into a fun, interactive experience.
Indoors, we offer a calming sensory room for quiet moments and a dedicated physical room with a mini football goal, basketball hoop, and even a bowling alley to keep your little one active and engaged.
We're proud to be an active part of the Bromley North community, regularly welcoming visits from local emergency workers and taking the children out into the community, helping build strong connections with the world around them.

Lisa Bird
Nursery Manager
I started my career in childcare in 2002 and received my NVQ Level 5 in early years and management in October 2017.
I have been working at Kindred Bromley North since May 2006. I have been on a range of courses and training sessions some of which include: First Aid, Safeguarding, safer recruitment, C.A.F (Common Assessment Framework) work shop and Autism training.
Hi, I'm Megan, the Deputy Nursery Manager here at Kindred Bromley North.
I have been working in childcare since 2017 where I have progressed from apprentice to deputy manager.
I started on this career path as I had a real passion for helping children achieve their dreams by giving them the best possible nursery experience. My beliefs fit perfectly with the Kindred mission statement of encouraging interests, exploration, and passions to support children in everything they do.
At Kindred Nurseries, the safety and well-being of our children, teams and families are our highest priorities. Safeguarding is woven into every aspect of our operations. We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where children, staff and families can thrive. Read more about our commitment to safety and wellbeing
We prioritize outdoor play as a core part of a child's day and ensure children spend a significant amount of time learning and exploring outside. Our routine includes a minimum of an hour of outdoor play in both the morning and the afternoon for every room. Children on the ground floor also have the benefit of free-flow access to our outdoor areas, allowing them to move between indoor and outdoor activities as they wish. This approach promotes a lot of outdoor learning and encourages children to connect with nature, be physically active, and develop their curiosity.
We offer convenient and ample parking to make drop-off and pick-up as stress-free as possible. Our facility features two on-site car parks, ensuring there is plenty of space for every family. Additionally, there is free on-street parking available on the road directly across from the nursery from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. This variety of parking options is designed to provide smooth and safe access for everyone.
Our nursery is built on a strong, family-oriented ethos, giving us a well-known reputation within the local community. We pride ourselves on creating a "home from home" environment that is intentionally nurturing and personal, rather than commercial.
We extend this philosophy to our outdoor spaces, which are designed to feel like a large back garden, encouraging natural play and exploration. This welcoming atmosphere is supported by our team of long-standing staff, many of whom are well-known in the community and have built lasting relationships with families. We are a big family and believe in a transparent approach to learning. That's why we've developed our own user-friendly curriculum, making it easy for both parents and staff to understand and support each child's development.
Our preparation for school is led by a qualified primary school teacher who has extensive experience working within the local school system. This valuable insight allows us to:
Host Transition Sessions: We invite teachers from local schools to our nursery to meet and interact with the children in a familiar setting.
Attend Transition Events: Our team attends all relevant transition events at the primary schools to ensure a seamless handover of information.
Specialized School Readiness Program: Our dedicated teacher leads a comprehensive school readiness program. Because she oversees both preschools, all children get to benefit from her expert guidance and knowledge, preparing them both academically and socially for their next step.
We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and attention for every child, with safety as our top priority. Our staff-to-child ratios strictly adhere to and, in some cases, exceed UK regulations to ensure a secure, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Our regulated ratios are as follows:
Babies (Under 2 years): 1 staff member to every 3 children (1:3)
Toddlers (2-3 years): 1 staff member to every 5 children (1:5)
Preschoolers (3-4 years): 1 staff member to every 8 children (1:8)
By maintaining these ratios, we guarantee that each child receives the individual support, supervision, and guidance they need to thrive in a safe and monitored setting.
We take a highly flexible and personalized approach to settling in, focusing on the unique needs of each child and family. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and confident transition into the nursery.
Under 2s: We recommend a settling-in period of around two weeks, allowing for a flexible series of sessions tailored to your child's pace.
Older Children: A minimum of one week is typically scheduled, though we are always prepared to adjust this based on individual needs.
For the first session, we ask parents or carers to stay with their child for an hour. This time is used to complete our 'All About Me' book, which helps us gather important information about your child. Subsequent sessions are then booked based on how this initial visit goes, ensuring your child is settling well before they begin their full sessions. This extended and tailored approach helps children settle quickly and happily, building strong bonds with our team from day one.
