What makes Kindred Billericay unique?

At Kindred Billericay, we are passionate about outdoor play. Our children enjoy free flow access to our garden throughout the day giving them the freedom to guide their own learning journey. With plenty to choose from, including our painting corner, sensory activity tables, and mud kitchen they are constantly supported in active exploration and play.
We welcome children from birth giving you the flexibility to return to work earlier and with the peace of mind that your little one is in safe hands.
We are incredibly proud of the strong reputation we hold in the local community, which is reflected in the many families that recommend us to their relatives and friends. We love helping children connect with the world around them through regular trips to local parks, shops, and the library. Kindred Billericay Nursery and Pre-School FAQs
How does your nursery build strong relationships with parents?
We encourage parent engagement by holding regular family events. These include:
A dedicated Parents' Evenings twice a year to discuss your child's progress in detail.
Festive Christmas Stay and Plays and other seasona family fun days
Celebrations for Mother's Day and Father's Day
What links do you have with local schools to prepare my child for their next step?
Our proximity to Buttsbury Primary School allows for a seamless and highly effective transition process:
Teacher Visits: Teachers from the school come over to our setting to meet and interact with the children in a familiar environment.
Nursery Visits: We take our children over to the school for a visit, allowing them to explore the reception classrooms and outdoor areas before they officially start. This direct experience significantly reduces first-day anxiety.
How do your settling in sessions work?
We offer a structured three-session settling-in process designed for a gentle transition:
Session 1 (30 mins): The parents and child meet with the Room Leader in a separate room for a private introduction. This time is used to complete the 'All About Me' book and share essential details.
Session 2 (90 mins): The parent drops off the child for an hour and a half, allowing them to practice a short period of separation.
Session 3 (3 hours): The child stays for an extended three hours to experience a portion of the nursery routine.
If a child needs more time to settle, we can easily arrange additional sessions to ensure they are fully happy and secure.
Do you have links with any local charities?
Yes, we regularly participate in food bank collections working directly with the Billericay Foodbank teaching the children all about kindness and social responsibility.
