Parent Reviews

  • "I cannot recommend Kindred Girton highly enough! Our daughter came through here from 2017-2020 and because of how happy we were when she attended, we booked a place for our son who has been here since 2021 and is now in the preschool room. All of the staff are so caring, engaging and supportive and our son absolutely loves his nursery days! The facilities are wonderful (with amazing outdoor spaces), the food is very much enjoyed, and we truly feel our son is receiving the best care, whilst also having so much fun!"

  • "We chose this nursery originally because of the great outdoor space which is easily accessible, even from the baby room. Facilities are clean and modern and accessible. Having been at the nursery for four months, our little one loves it. The staff care so much for him. The member of staff who runs the baby room is super. As is the deputy manager who always takes extra care to get to know parents and their children."

  • "True caring and nurturing environment. This nursery strives to work collaboratively with the families in a flexible and understanding manner. The atmosphere is friendly and the nursery even organises events to allow parents to meet. I really like their open-door policy and both my children are truly well cared for and happy. Staff are experienced and I note high levels of retention within the staff. I have no doubts my children are in good hands. I moved my children to this nursery after a not positive experience with one of the outstanding nurseries and truly regret not having done this earlier. Kindred Girton Day Nursery & Pre-school is definitely outstanding."

  • "My Son after 3 years is now just several months away from starting school. The team at Kindred Girton have been fundamental in helping his development and understanding of what's required. My son has developed in confidence and cognitively due to the way he has been nurtured. We owe them a big thank you. The overall opinion is I am very thankful my son is there."

Emma Carter
Nursery Manager

Hello, my name is Emma. I have worked in childcare for over a decade and have been at Kindred Girton since the beginning of 2022.

My childcare journey started as a student with me studying to become a Level 3 practitioner. Since this have achieved a Level 4 Advanced Practitioner qualification.

I have worked in many roles throughout the years including keyworker, room leader, deputy manager and nursery manager. From the moment I began my study in 2010 I knew that I wanted to support every child in my care to develop a lifelong love for learning.

I am passionate about an environment where all families feel supported, and all children thrive in their learning and development.

Sophie Smith
Deputy Nursery Manager

Hi, I'm Sophie, the Deputy Manager here at Kindred Girton.

I have been working at Kindred Girton since 2016, where I joined as an apprentice. Over the last 7 years I have grown and worked my way up through the roles withing the nursery from key person, room lead, deputy and now deputy manager. Throughout this time, I have become Level 3 qualified in Early Years, I am the ENCO representative (Equality & Needs Co-ordinator), MHFA, SENCO & DSL.

As my journey and career has blossomed over the years my passions have remained true to my initial ones in my early years of childcare - 'Ensuring all children feel safe, secure, and represented within our nursery enabling and supporting them to thrive in learning, development, natural curiosity, and exploration.

I am passionate about children exploring the natural world around them. My love and understanding of outdoor learning are something I take pride of here at Kindred Girton. So, you may see me in the main office, or working in my wellies in our garden allotment.
