Our longstanding team of familiar staff are deeply connected to the local area, which means we can easily share information and point you towards great places and events in the community.

Parent Reviews

  • "I am so happy with my youngest daughter's development here at Kindred Waltham Abbey. She has really come out of her shell, and her range of vocabulary has expanded so much! My 11-year-old used to attend here, the continuation of standards is exceptional! It's been nice to see that over 10 years later, I still know the staff members. The staff are so kind and compassionate about what they do. I do not worry when I drop her off, the app gives me an overview of her basic needs being met. My daughter always eats well here even having seconds at times which lets me know the food is good as she is usually a fussy eater."

  • "My son has been attending Kindred for 16 months now and we can't be happier with the care he receives. The staff are professional and show great care and affection for the children. The passion for their jobs shines through which is transmittable on the children. My son loves going to nursery and is always happy at drop off. The activities and play is always very creative which engages the children and allows them to develop and grow."

  • "Really happy with the staff. My daughter is always happy to go in, amazes me on how many things she picks up on. Very pleased with all!"

  • "I have been using the nursery for nearly 5 years for both of my children and I cannot recommend here enough! Both of my children have loved attending and my daughter even 3 years after leaving still says how much she loved it and wishes she was still there. The staff are amazing and so supportive, nothing is ever too much trouble to them to help with or listen. My son has had a few difficulties and all the staff have been amazing and helped me or pointed me in the right direction to help him in the best way. I cannot praise the staff enough and I'm actually dreading when my son leaves that I won't be a part of this special place any more."

Kindred Waltham Abbey Nursery and Pre-School FAQs

What are the designated parking and access arrangements for drop-off and pick-up?

We offer easy and convenient access with a large, private car park exclusively for our families. This dedicated parking area ensures a safe and smooth experience during both drop-off and pick-up times.

How do your settling in sessions work?

Our settling-in process is designed to be highly flexible and accommodate your family's schedule. The process typically includes three key sessions:

Session 1: This is a joint session where the parent stays with the child to meet the key person and collaboratively fill out the 'All About Me' book, sharing crucial information about the child.

Subsequent Sessions: We arrange two further settling sessions where the child is dropped off. These are scheduled at a time that is convenient for the parent.

If your child requires additional time to feel secure, we are completely flexible and happy to offer more sessions to ensure a confident and smooth transition.

What are your staff-to-child ratios at the nursery?

We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and attention for every child. Our staff-to-child ratios strictly adhere to all UK regulations to ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Our ratios are as follows:

Babies (Under 2 years): 1 staff member to every 3 children (1:3)

Toddlers (2-3 years): 1 staff member to every 5 children (1:5)

Preschoolers (3-4 years): 1 staff member to every 8 children (1:8)

This commitment to regulated ratios guarantees that each child receives the individual support and guidance they need to thrive.
