Building strong partnerships with families is at the heart of what we do. We believe choosing a nursery is a very personal decision, so we encourage families to ask questions, get to know our team and take the time to experience our nursery environment and ethos for themselves.

We pride ourselves on being open, honest and approachable. From the first visit, families are encouraged to speak with us about their child's needs, routines and interests, helping us create a personalised experience and strong partnership from the very beginning.

Many families return to us with younger siblings. We take pride in building strong, lasting relationships with families, creating a sense of trust, familiarity and belonging from the moment they join us.

We work closely with local schools, including St Edmund's Catholic Primary School, Nelson Primary School and Chase Bridge Primary School, to help children feel confident and excited about starting Reception.

Our approach focuses on building children's confidence and independence while helping them become familiar with what comes next. We use real school uniforms within role-play activities and work closely with local schools, helping children explore what school life might be like in a positive and engaging way. 

We approach school readiness from the perspective of getting schools ready for children. Through strong links with local schools and opportunities to explore what school life may be like, we help children feel confident, familiar with their next step and excited for the journey ahead.

We understand that every child and family is different, which is why our settling-in process is completely bespoke and tailored to individual needs. We work closely with families from the start to understand their child's personality, routines and stage of development, creating an approach that feels comfortable for everyone involved.

Our settling-in process typically takes place over three sessions. The first is a stay-and-play visit lasting at least one hour, giving children and families the opportunity to explore the nursery, meet the team and begin building relationships. The following sessions gradually build on this, helping children become familiar with the environment, routines and educators who will be supporting them.

The length and structure of each session will depend on the individual child and how they are settling. We remain flexible throughout the process and adapt our approach to suit the needs of both the child and their family. Our goal is simple, to create happy children, happy parents and a positive start to nursery life.

We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and attention for every child, with safety as our top priority. Our staff-to-child ratios strictly adhere to and, in some cases, exceed UK regulations to ensure a secure, nurturing and engaging environment.

Our regulated ratios are as follows:

Babies (Under 2 years): 1 staff member to every 3 children (1:3)

Toddlers (2-3 years): 1 staff member to every 5 children (1:5)

Preschoolers (3-4 years): 1 staff member to every 8 children (1:8)

By maintaining these ratios, we guarantee that each child receives the individual support, supervision, and guidance they need to thrive in a safe and monitored setting.
