New Nutritionally Accredited Menus launched
This week we launched our new, exciting Autumn / Winter menus. This is always an exciting week – when our children first taste our new, interesting, nutritious dishes – and our cooks wait patiently for the verdict on the new spaghetti bolognaise! This year, however, we are bubbling with excitement – our menus have been accredited by Action for Children, Eat Better, Start Better nutritionists. So, we know that they are more nutritious and tastier than ever!
Providing our families even more reassurance that the food their children eat with us is going to give them the best start in life.
We are passionate about encouraging children to eat well in their early years and research shows that these healthy habits will stick with them throughout their lives.
This is why we have been working in partnership with Action for Children, Eat Better, Start Better initiative to develop new menus that meet the Early Years Foundation Stage welfare requirement and provide our children with healthy, balanced and nutritious foods.
Our senior team and nursery cooks spent time reviewing our children’s favourite dishes to ensure that all Government guidelines are met and that our children have positive eating experiences; enjoying our well-balanced, nutritious food. These menus were also reviewed and approved by a children’s nutritionist from Action for Children, awarding us our Eat Better, Start Better accreditation.
